THE SOURCE – Picture Window LP (1983)
Debut album by this independent foursome who hailed out of Canton, Ohio, however their operational foundation for distribution and management was based in Arlington, VA…Picture Window provides a sharp, keen and percolating attack of lilting rhythms and electronic tendencies. You get ample doses of power pop and new wave fair but there is enough creative melodies mixed into the ten song set that provides just the kick Picture Window needs to not fall victim to being just another collection of mediocre blandness. Standout Tracks: the new wave quirky synth melodies of “Workin’ On A Dream”, “You, Me, Us” and the power pop jingles of “Mad Cap”, “Little E.G.O. ,“Keypunch Operator” ...This obscurity warrants repeated listening. The band would go on to produce one more effort, 1985's Another Look, which isn't quite up to par with this outing. …Out of print private pressing via Wasp Records…

I bought this LP on ebay just because the cover looked so cool. However the music did end up being as cool as the cover.
